April 2, 2017

Siblings Day is a holiday recognized annually on April 10 honoring the relationships of Siblings. The holiday is a celebration of the relationship of brothers and sisters.  As a family owned business, we enjoy when our customers share these moments with us.

Casa Chapala Mexican Grill & Cantina recognize the bond between siblings is extra-special. For the month of April,  we are holding a contest because we want to see that special sibling bond. Take a picture with your brother or sister at Casa Chapala, share on Facebook or Instagram, and use hashtag #SiblingsDay #CasaChapala .  We will be selecting a winner each week with prizes.

Below are sisters Corina and Rita Barragan.

In the United States, 80% of all children have siblings. Siblings Day was created by Claudia Evart, a freelance paralegal from Manhattan, NY. Evart started the day after losing both her sister at an early age. It is a day of celebration and recognition for brothers and sisters around the world. The siblings bonds are life-long relationships usually lasting from cradle to grave. It is usually the longest relationship of a person’s life and typically much longer than a mother’s and father’s relationship.  Sibling Day is a way of honouring that special bond.
